May 25, 2020

The Los Angeles Chargers have a clear mission to rebound after a bad previous season. With a new quarterback in command, and a team packed with talent, the Chargers not only want to fight for their division, they also have a major challenge with a rough schedule. Let’s take a look at what the Los Angeles Chargers schedule looks like for this 2020 season so you can make your bets against their NFL odds.

Los Angeles Chargers Calendar Analysis

Week 4 Buccaneers vs. Chargers

Generations duel. Two very complete teams, but with a difference of generations under center. For the Buccaneers, Tom Brady becomes their quarterback with a legacy of six rings and a reputation for being the best in history. Justin Herbert, meanwhile, wants a rookie year where he shows the Chargers that he can guide them into glory in the future.

However, Tampa will be a very strong candidate and in this game, Brady’s experience can be vital to stay with a game that, in other words, can be difficult for the Buccaneers. Los Angeles to look for surprise.

Week 5 Chargers vs Saints

From Tampa to New Orleans and another tough test for the Chargers. As with Brady, New Orleans has a Drew Brees who has already cemented his field in the Hall of Fame, but who still wants one more chance to win his second ring, and boy does he have the weapons this year.

On the other hand, it is draining to face two of the best NFL teams visiting on consecutive weeks. The Chargers can get quite handicapped and it’s not really very ideal, but the possibility of going out with two losses is quite latent.

Week 12 Bills vs. Chargers

The Chargers will travel to the awful weather of Buffalo, where they will also meet one of the great defenses that this league has. The pressure Buffalo puts on the quarterback and the good work in his secondary is not to be taken lightly.

On the other hand, Buffalo has a body of catchers that take problems to any secondary, despite the fact that the load of the Chargers is very talented. It will be a very tight game, with little margin of error for both teams, where Buffalo sale favored by the fact of being local.

Week 13 Chargers vs Patriots

The Patriots no longer have Tom Brady under center but that won’t make it an easy match. His attack is a great unknown, and that is something that a defense like the Chargers can exploit greatly.

On the other hand, the Pats’ secondary is pretty good, but the amount of guns Los Angeles has at its disposal and the factor of not being in Foxboro makes the Chargers look favorably on this game.

Week 17 Chiefs vs Chargers

The Chiefs are the reigning champions and not only that, but they are the Chargers’ top division rivals. Therefore, and being in week 17 where much can be defined, this meeting is of utmost importance.

The Chargers can come with chances of good postseason positions on the AFC table and a loss can lower them into undesirable positions, ahead of the wild card round. Visiting Arrowhead is very difficult against a team that does not seem to lose at home this season.

2020 Record Predictions For Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers only had a bad 2019. The team is up for much more and they left Philip Rivers to look for the new boat captain and he got it in the form of Justin Herbert. The schedule, however, is quite difficult since it is up to them to face the NFC South, a complicated division, without counting the AFC West itself, which already brings very difficult teams. Los Angeles registration will be 9-7.

The Los Angeles Chargers are at +950 odds to win the AFC West.
